I love this purchase, it is even more beautiful then in the picture, it’s an absolutely gorgeous piece of art. I would rather use this for display then as a trinket box. Be careful when opening the package, very fragile.

Nice for the price.

If you're looking for an unusual accent piece that looks antique without the hefty not-so-antique price, then this is a good one. Just what I was looking for my 1920's writing desk, it sits atop the narrow ledge above the desk nicely. This figurine features good detail and is not too glittery gold. It has an over-all muted, satiny or bronze-ish gold tone with gently applied old-looking patina to the box and quill. The cupid is a softly glowing ivory tone. The lid of the book-shaped box, with cupid and rose, is rather heavy and fits snugly. The quill pen must be slid into the hand by the customer as it is included, wrapped separately, so the angle of the quill is adjustable and it is removable. Not too big a piece and not too small, it could be a practical place to store important keys, small notes or letters or jewelry.

A Real Classic

I bought the Love Letter Sculpture Box at Amazon thinking that it would be a perfect addition to my collection of figurines that depict people writing. I have a sitting scribe I bought in Egypt, a Lladro figurine with a girl writing a love letter, and a pretty muse who is supposed to give you the inspiration to write. This charming little angel fits right in. The figurine even rivals my Lladro! Not only does it have classic beauty but you can hide away your precious trinkets inside the make-believe book of Romeo and Juliet!

Exceeds even my high standards!

Stunningly beautiful, with extraordinary attention to detail. The figurine looks exactly like antique ivory and the book detail is also excellent. My standards and expectations are met and exceeded. If you are not delighted, I would want to personally give you your money back, should we ever meet in person. Having said that, I'm not worried. You will love this piece even more than I do.

Absolutely Marvellous - Highly Recommended

This is one of those ornaments that you are going to admire every time you look at it. Whether in passing or as you sit with it in view. I have chosen this specifically, to sit on my writing desk, since that is where I tend to pen my poetry. I now have a little inspirational friend to accompany my meandering thoughts. It came very swiftly with excellent packaging bit it arrived in a box that gave away the contents, just in case you are sending it as a gift. Do take great care when opening the packaging and removing the item as it is packed in three parts. The top, the base and the quill. The quill is particularly delicate, so take extra care when removing it from it's own cellophane wrapping. It is a lovely size, not too small and yet not too big. It looks like something far more expensive that the £15 it is currently selling for. It is well made, good quality, looks amazing and is an absolute bargain. Buy with confidence. Highly Recommend. I do not receive any payment or free goods for writing these reviews. I am just happy to share my views on my purchases with fellow like minded Amazonians in the hope that you may find it helpful.

This box is beautiful. So we'll made. The details of the flower and feather so intricate. Thought the gold may be bright but, it's an antique gold, perfect. It was heavier than imagined. Best buy ever.
