Quality product

Like everything else by the wall this is a very sturdy quality product and easy to use. I would say that the trigger pull is a little tight and a little harder that I was thinking it would be, but it did the job very well.

Best hand-powered upholstery stapler

I used both air-powered and other branded manual staplers for upholstering leather onto plastic seating. Air compressed didn't have the ability to use staplers less than 9mm (too long for my needs) and the manual staplers didn't have consistent power. Then I bought the DeWalt TR350, which can take 8mm or 6.5mm staplers. It helped me finished the job quickly and with almost every single stapler going in cleanly. I didn't give it 5 stars because it wasn't perfect but I would highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable upholstery gun.

Good but does take some strength to use effectively

I purchased this DeWALT after my heavy duty staple gun wasn't able to use T50 17/32-inch ceiling tile staples. I needed to staple Clearly Adjustable Heel Lifts into 1 shoe of each of my pairs of sandals since I couldn't rely on the special double-faced tape that works in shoes with closed backs. Securing the lifts was at least a two step, tedious process since their many layers had to be separated—to avoid discomfort from the staples when taking more than a few steps—before placing the 2 staples that I decided to use in each, one in the heel area and another near the instep. It would have been easier had I the strength to keep the gun fully pressed down with one hand but it was a bit too long for my size 8 to get a decent grip, not to mention shoot fast enough, for a staple to penetrate well. So I had to rely on myStubby Claw Hammer to drive them in further because the lift material itself absorbed and blunted some of the gun's force. But the job is done and I'm very happy with the gun because its power enabled me also to better finish a job I did years ago—permanently fastening the back end of the top to a bathroom hamper once I upholstered & covered said top. Until now I had to settle for very long, strong straight pins to hold it in place. So I'm happy and I'll probably think of more uses for it.

Been using this tool for years

There are so many mixed reviews for this product, I thought I’d add my two cents… I’ve had this for years, done dozens of projects and is still going strong. I’ve put at least 10,000 staples through it (I’m here now ordering my 3rd box of 5,000). Occasionally a staple does jam, but it works great 95% of the time.

The Best

This is the best stapler we have ever had. Easy to load. Easy to use. Takes some pressure, but otherwise it has not given us any issues. Actually, once I was used to it, I moved right along and I am using many staples in my project.

Has trouble driving staples in all but the softest lumber.

I bought this the other day to help with a variety of projects around the home and garage. I needed to add a 3/8 inch thick wood retainer strip to a shelf to help keep items in place and used 9/16 staples. The stapler barely drove them halfway through the 3/8 strip of plywood. I had to hammer each one flush to complete the project which defeated the whole idea of using a single tool in the first place. I also tried this on a 3/8 piece of particle board peg board to attach it to two 1/4 inc side strips (to gap the peg board from the wall). I had even worse results with this where the staples barely penetrated the surface. Probably should have bought an electric or air-powered gun. On all projects, I am using industry standard Arrow T50 staples.

Better than I'd expected

When you shop for staplers in stored they all seem to only have Arrow staplers etc. I wanted one that would also use brads and am thrilled with this stapler. It is easy to use, the staple retaining slide had a positive locking feature.... Ever had those Arrow staplers with that silly clip which catches on something sending the slide soaring? Not this one. I am disappointed it will only take 5/8" brads but better than nothing and for thin mouldings it's enough.

Loading Staples

I just opened this. I had to ask a friend and YouTube on how to load the stapler. On my old stapler, I just put the staples on the rail and pushed it in. On this one, you DROP the staples in with the rail pulled out. So far, so good. I tried it on hard particle board and tapped the staples flush with a hammer. Easy to pull lever. I am writing this mainly to help others have a better out-of-the-box experience!

Good stuff

It was very powerful but I was using it to fix ceiling panels for the bathroom and it does not look close to the edge of the panel and you cannot use it side on the staples could with being a bit closer to the front of the gun

Its light and easy to use, but quite often the staple does not go all the way in and i need to hammer it in.
