I didn't pay attention to the max heat of 220 and sure enough melted the front plastic a bit (it bubbled up) and ruined the unit. Going to look for one that I can leave in the oven next time. Seemed like it was good. lol

I ordered this specifically because it was listed as dishwasher safe. When it arrived, the instructions said to hand wash.

Restaurant grade equipment at home. Accurate & fast!

Excellent restaurant grade thermometer for liquids and drinks. Highly accurate and fast readings with the easy to read/ see gauge markings and indicators for the specified areas of 140-160F. All stainless construction, water proof, and easy to clean. I did notice some minor stuttering of the needle as it ramps up quickly from a low value, but has no effect on the accuracy.

Large should be labled Commerical version!

Was misled and bought the small one, cause it was labeled as the Commercial version. somewhat disappointed, the read out is very small ,hard to read and would not work for what I wanted it for. I got refunded and purchased the bigger version which is much better, easy to read and fairly accurate. The title of the Large one should be labeled as the Commercial version. Its much closer to the ones you see in places like Starbucks.

Fast enough for steaming great milk

Product is fast and accurate when I compare it with my thermapen. When I stop steaming at 140f, the temp continues to rise until 145f which is a great temp for lattes.
