Straight forward

Do exactly what you’d expect- create small holes in paper. They work fine but my hand starts to hurt after doing a bunch of punches.

Adequate, but punch debris isn’t captured.

Overall usefulness is ok, but “chads” fall out of compartment that is supposed to catch them.

Good at making holes when there were no holes

Used this for paper and for even for some HDPE I could jam in the space. Worked well, no blisters after making 100 news holes in the HDPE. I’m very pleased at its ability to create holes.

It’s the color for me

Purple is my favorite color. So I try to coordinate that into all my tools. This little hole punch is perfect for what I needed it for. I wanted to start tagging my clothing items for vendor shows and just to look more professional. But I’ve broken parts of my hand, so my grip isn’t too strong and doesn’t like hard handles. But this little guy…. Perfection.

it looks cheap, but it works great

This punch looks like cheap junk, with its shiny, thin, stamped-steel handles, but it punches a clean 1/8-inch diameter hole every time in every kind of material I've tried to punch with it, from a single sheet of copier paper to the thickish felt-like material I bought it for. (Since I use the tiny 1/8-inch circles I punch out, not the holes they leave behind, I removed the very tightly-sprung chad-catcher so I can see exactly where I'm punching from the bottom side; it was very easy to remove using a thin-bladed screwdriver.) A week or so ago I saw a much better-looking 1/8-inch punch that gets even better (although lots fewer) reviews than this one does, at around twice the price (but still under $10), so I ordered one. It's theEK Tools Heavy Duty Punch, 1/8-Inch Circle . It has hefty, beautifully designed and manufactured painted cast-aluminum handles. It looks and feels like a much better tool than this one, but it cannot punch a clean hole in anything. The handles are great but the punch is sloppy, with far too much clearance between the punch and its mating hole, so some of the material you're trying to punch (even thin paper) gets pinched between them rather than cut. I returned the first pair, but the replacement was just as bad, so I gave up on it and came back to this one, which looks and feels cheap but does its job perfectly. (I noticed that Martha Stewart is selling that EK Tools punch under her own brand name at a 50% higher price, which proves again that she's into looks more than performance--but into making a buck more than anything.)

Easy to use and does the job.

The hole punch is easy to use and does the job. My only complaint is delivery. I ordered this particular hole punch because it was Next Day delivery as I have some felt ornaments to make. It did not deliver Next Day and arrived today (Sunday) after lunch. Now I have to work all afternoon to get things prepared for the school.

Great - just what I needed

This is so good! I use it for making a single hole in home made gift tags, but have tried it on everything from very fine paper to quite thick card. It works perfectly and has a convenient reservoir that holds onto the punched bits so they don't end up all over the place. The grips are soft and quite comfortable, but I think the squeezing action might be a little hard for anyone suffering from arthritis or weak hands. Just make sure you put the paper/card between the springy bit and the reservoir, rather than between the springy bit and the sticky-up punch bit. It took me a couple of goes doing it wrong before I realised what I was doing wrong - duh!

You deserve a good punch

This is the second one of these I've bought. I had the first one for ages, and it worked really well, until the handles perished (I did buy it many years ago!) So I treated myself to a new one, and it's excellent.

I used it on quite thick card so found it a little bit difficult but i still got nice neat holes from it so i am happy

Bought this to make small holes for my wedding day favour tags and it did just what I needed, the size of the hole was just right. I used it on quite thick card so found it a little bit difficult but i still got nice neat holes from it so i am happy!

Fiskars Hand Punch, 1/8”

Decidedly average build quality coupled with a mis-aligned die meant that a quarter of the hole was very poor. I am using this on vinyl and I know this is likely to be an issue for these types of punches but I do successfully use other makers punches with great success. I have straightened the punch to improve the accuracy...so I cannot send it back! Overall it seems ok for light card and paper (after re-aligning) but vinyl was a fail for me. Just to mention that the metal die that presses through the paper/card etc was very soft (this should be hardened in my opinion) so I do not expect this punch to maintain sharpness for very long...and likely why it did not like vinyl
