Bummer

I have always had good service from Valterra products, so I was surprised when this hose was delivered with THREE cuts in it - one at each end at the coupler and one a few inches away from one end. These were not shipping cuts, as the two on the ends were right where the brass starts and, as you can see, the ends are not near each other as packaged. They did look like knife cuts and not ruptures. Bummer. Valterra, you goofed on this one.

Defective right out of the box

We immediately noted that the hose was cheap and not reinforced. Then when we first used it, it leaked and sprayed all over the neighbor's house. We found a slit in the hose at both end brass fittings. Waste of money - we've returned it for our money back and have a different brand on order.

No hose taste

In my RV, I have discovered the off-taste of water is due to the hose leaching out plasticizers into the water. It is worse in summer months. I have managed it by filtering my drinking water through a Brita filter. However, a better solution is to use a hose without plasticizers (what makes a hose flexible). This hose is different; somewhat more rigid, like a piece of PEX tubing. It is a little stiffer, but manageable - just a somewhat large coil. Installed fine, does not leak. Absolutetly no taste! Water tastes fine now, no longer need a filter.

Not what was expected

I thought that this was taste free. First awful taste after purging lines and using 3 times; Absolutely to stiff to lay flat and out of the way.

first time hook-up hose cracked at brass fitting, plastic is cracked 1/2 at brass coupling

the hose is very stiff and unwielding, not a problem if it eliminates plastic taste! I will never know since it failed right out of the package!! No waterfor the weekend trip! very disappointed as hose got good reviews

Can't be trusted

If you live in a sunny place, you WILL taste plastic. ...and it will spring a leak months down the road. I've tried three, all three same results...

Arrived damaged

Product arrived... Hooked up (crawled under trailer then back out) turned water on hose was split all the way around fitting! Had to go buy new fitting.. Cut hose out new one on!

Poor Quality

After one month of using the hose occasionally, it acquired 2 leaks rendering it unusable. Poor quality material. Very disappointed.
