Frstrating

I have installed lots of these hinges, they easily solve the problem of a door standing open. This is the first time I have encountered such difficulty winding the spring to make it function. In stead of a pin to insert, these have a allen head LITTLE screw in stead. It lines up with difficulty and I several times caught the "tool" used to wind with and could not remove it until i backed the screw out. Fortunately I purchased 2 hinges so I had two tools to work with - 2 are required. Even with this, I was not able to move the holes around enough to insert the 2nd tool. I ended up using slightly smaller drill bits. This almost solved the issue but would not allow the screw to be installed without the same problem. Will look for a different alternative next time I want to buy a spring hinge. Install was the only complaint.

Works, but not as strong as expected.

It functions. I expected it to have more force closing my 32 inch door than it actually has.

Solid. Good. Adjustable.

Works well. You can adjust the tension by adjusting the internal spring. My pack came with one 'lever' for adjusting the tension. You need two. I ended up finding a nail in our closet and used the nail as a second lever, and was able to adjust the tension to my desired strength. Aside from only including one lever, I rate this product as solid and good. Thumbs-up.
