Very thin paper and NOT embossed.

The product I received had the correct manufacturer number, but it did not look embossed like the picture in the listing. The placement is also very thin. Notice you can read right through the paper even against a black background.

We Use Them To Decorate For Dinners

The placemats are nice - we have children decorate them with bible verses and pictures for prisoners going through the Kairos Christian weekend inside prisons. These are easy to decorate, they don't tear, and if you're using them as plain placemats - are great for sopping up spills, and for dressing up a table inexpensively. (True Story: We passed out decorated placemats at a Kairos dinner inside the prison. Then my husband found Mikayla's mat. She was 10, and had been killed in a car accident 2 weeks before. Mikayla & her classmates had decorated the mats a few weeks earlier, and in the throes of grief and shock everyone had forgotten about her placemats. My husband held up her decorated placemat that said "God loves you" and told her story to the prisoners. It really affected everyone, that this child was telling people about Jesus even after her death. Today would be her 12th bd.)

Not what I expected them to be

These placemats are not embossed. See how it shows that they look quilted? They are just very very think pieces of paper. They are a regular size for a placemat but I would not order them again. I really expected a better quality. I am disappointed. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was that the price was $19.95 for 1000 placemats so you get a lot of them for the money but they should have been a decent weight and better quality.

Any liquid during dinner will soak through. Table needs to be cleaned. But good enough for tidy meals and clean up.

Pretty and useful.

I don't like to just place my dishes on the table, I prefer to have some type of place mat. These are sturdy and much nicer that just a piece of paper towel.

Too small for a placemat and extremely thin. Did little to protect my glass tabletop. I will not purchase them again and will not recommend them to anyone. I guess I got what I paid for.
