Great for Outdoor Cat Houses in Winter

These are great. My cats love them (and so do strays). Unfortunately, 3 days ago we found a recently deceased opossum with babies in one of them ???? Put straw on top of the pad in whatever outdoor shelter you make or buy. Cats LOVE straw. Anyway, my only issue is I wish they were just a little bigger.

Worked great!

We have an outdoor kitty and winter was coming. We have a little house for him in our carport, so he would be out of the wind and elements but wanted something to give him some warmth without paying too much. This worked great! Rocky stayed cozy all winter long.

Happy neighborhood kitty (and kittens)

Our neighbor's poor little tortoiseshell kitty is rarely allowed indoors (her owners seem to be too busy trying to get and stay stoned ... ) so she often takes refuge from the rain and cold inside our jalousied back porch. I got her this mat since it was getting so very cold (we're too allergic to kitties to bring her into our own house). She enjoys it very much, spending most of her nights and a fair portion of her days sleeping on it. Addendum: neighborhood kitty - not having been fixed like she ought to have been - has now deposited/is caring for four kittens on my porch. They also love this warmer (see additional photo). Thinking of purchasing an extra cover so I can change the bedding out more efficiently.

Saved our feral kitty!

This is a fantastic heating pad for feral kitties. Baby girl has two different houses on our front porch so we have two of these heating pads. This is the smaller of the two we bought. They keep her warm, thank gd, since she refuses to come into the house for more than 10 minutes. The first one has lasted two winters. We are SO thankful for this product.

Freezing weather

Purchase this to put in bedding for an outdoor feral kitty. Very pleased with the way it has worked through extremely cold weather and the cat goes in there and sleeps. I placed a thin towel on top makes it easy to wash towel if needed and keep pad clean.

Quality of the products, quality of the service and of course fair pricing.

I liked the quality, the cord with anti-chew cord, the universal mounting feature. We have a hobby farm, as such we needed working cats to control mice, plus my wife loved the cats, I'm was not able to have them inside, stuffs me up. The 1st house has 2x4 walls in full insulation, vapor barrier and pine venier paneling, 2 rooms with heating pads and area with endless food and water. We sometimes have coyotes that come around, we play talk radio outside to deter predators , will not come around when voices are heard. I changed the house three times lastly adding a old fridge for feeding putting in some steps to make it easier for my wifes favorite cat get up stairs. My wife passed away 6 years ago, ,my boys love these cats, I do these changes to make caring for them easier, it's a labor of love . Our cats love their house, withstands temperatures in excess of 30 degrees below (F) and no draughts. They r pets and working cats. The heated waterer I bought from amazon willl better than a large heated watering bowl.

Helped my feral cat friend through a very cold winter last year!

I have been very happy with this heater! It is encased in plastic which makes me feel safe for my feral friend. It fit nicely between the two layers of a bed that I had bought for him previously. He came around and slept at my place more often. He now has become brave and comes into my home. This frees up the heated bed for any other ferals or strays that may need shelter.

This product is exactly what is needed. Used with a Styrofoam box (3 inch) thick, half-filled with straw (not hay), in a 140 litre (37 US gal) Rubbermaid box, outdoors in Montreal, Canada.

So good I ordered a 2nd one

We use this heating pad for allowing one of our cats to spend more nights outside where she prefers. As long as the heating pad and cat are out of the wind she is good outside till -10 degrees C, at which time she then moves inside the house. Great product and good enough that I purchases a 2nd one to help keep a stray ferrel cat as warm as possible.

Takes time to warm up

The cat loves this! In fact he's been in there all day and night. It took a few days for him to try it but now he's got it figured out. I like that you can just leave it plugged in because it only gets so hot. It seems warm enough since he likes it.
