The pliers have a fine tip and do the job but have many imperfections
The pliers have a fine tip of about 1mm with a flat (non-serrated) jaw and fit comfortably in my hand. They do not have a spring which could have been nice. The product, even though it is new, has a noticeable number of imperfections as shown in my uploaded pictures. I saw that another reviewer hypothesized that this might be because the pliers were not new, but I tend to believe that (at least in my case) it is just due to poor workmanship. Nevertheless, the pliers work as expected, so this is mostly cosmetic.

Item looks different than advertised picture
Not same item as advertised because it looks totally different. The rubber sleeves lip right off the tool when using. Not good. Caused me a great deal of hand pain while and after using it.

Easy to use and good grip
I bought these pliers to help me make malas for my crystal business, they are exactly what I need. They have a good grip on them and are easy to hold.

Second-hand DAMAGED pliers!
The Beadalon knotting pliers themselves are great, perfect for fine detail work making jewelry. I had borrowed this exact same pair from my Mom and was happy to find them on Amazon so I could buy my own pair. However, when they arrived, before I even opened the package the metal of the pliers was covered with smudged fingerprints and some sort of powdery looking substance. I own several pairs of Beadalon pliers and the metal has always been shiny and new in the package. After opening the packaging to inspect the pliers, I found that the plier tips were not smooth and new, and looked like they had once been marred and then re-ground in an attempt to refurbish. And yet somehow, the packaging had been completely in tact. Thinking that this must be a one time fluke, I returned them and requested a replacement pair. The replacement pair is even worse! Covered with smudges and fingerprints, there is rust on the metal, and the tips are very obviously marred and re-ground. These are NOT new pliers, they are repackaged seconds being sold as new. I am incredibly disappointed, because the actual Beadalon knotting pliers are a great product (when NEW and not damaged). Amazon needs to do a better job of making sure they source products from reputable suppliers. I recommend purchasing these pliers somewhere else!!!

For jewelry!
I have had these in these past.. I love these and the fine tip. I just had to replace my old pair due to myself misusing them for the wrong thing.. (Household things lol). The tips we're not made to do household wiring, but worked great in a pinch! ???? Seriousness though these are amazing jewelry pliers for knotting.

Strong pliers with great handle grips
The pliers are well made and the handle grips are soft and non-slip. The points are small and strong enough for my purposes.
