About what I expected for the money

I ordered one in blue. The box came and it shows blue. However the Megaphone inside is pink. I can live with that. I ordered it to be part of my CERT emergency response gear. I live in earthquake country and we are way overdue for a major event. This Megaphone will prove useful in the early stages after the main event. Especially in locating trapped survivors. It's not the best, but it will do.

Great little speaker

This would have been perfect if they actually sent me the color I ordered BLUE to match my teams cheer squad...Instead they sent pink and now there is no time to return it unfortunately! On the flip side PINK will work since its October/Brest Cancer awareness months

Pretty good for the price

It's not perfect but works well enough for the price. I used it for our family reunion and it was great.

Great compact megaphone that’s loud.

Good quality product, just as described, and really easy to use. Bought it just to have fun at home, so cant speak to its use for sporting activities, but it seems to be plenty loud. Also the size is small enough to easily store, but big enough that it’s actually loud. Plus the handle folds to make it more compact. For the price, you really can’t go wrong. Would definitely recommend to others.

DID NOT WORK....RETURNED AS DEFECTIVE

I had purchased this "fun" item to send to our son who is a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy. As stated in some previous reviews, the battery compartment was too tight, making it nearly impossible to open the battery area because the battery was pressed tightly against the latch. The packaging lists that the item takes "C" batteries under one specification, then lists "D" batteries under another specification. Bottom line, the unit would not work. The batteries I used were brand new, but I tried a second set of different batteries just to make sure that wasn't the problem. There is no phone number contact on the packaging to contact Pyle, only email. The email response was to return the item for replacement. Instead, we contacted Amazon directly, and were issued a free return shipping label for a defective product...thank you Amazon! Even if the unit did work, the control panel is of very low quality and would not be durable. I guess you get what you pay for, but I did expect the unit to at least work. We bought a similar item at a local sporting goods store and were very pleased with that purchase. I doubt I will purchase a Pyle product again.

Compact and efficient

Pretty solid device. It serves it's purpose. Bought as a gift and they loved it. It gets the job done. Box says two different battery size . But it requires 4 D batteries.

Love the color choices

I love the color and that its easy to use. It is a little on the heavier side but thats understandable. I personally prefer the smaller 20 watt version because I like the switch rather than buttons like this one has.

Battery Compartment

The battery compartment is way too tight. The batteries barely fit and hardly allow the batteries from making a connection. I had to modify mine to get the proper electrical connection. The release button needs a hammer to activate it because the hook is against the battery. 3/8" would make a world of difference.

Do not buy

Did not work. Batteries kept falling out. Do not purchase. Not worth the hassle of returning just put in my recycling.

Nice product. Type "D" cells are a very tight fit inside.

Too bad it was dead on arrival. I hope they send me a good one. BTW, their user booklet tells to use type"D" cells on one page and type"C" on another.
