Powerful and effective.

This vacuum does a great job. It maneuvers easily and has good suction. The handle detaches easily for hard-to-reach places. The bin empties easily and I don’t have to fish things out like I did with my previous vacuum. I had a far more expensive vacuum that had been in the repair shop numerous times for the same issue. I finally decided to cut my losses and purchase this vacuum. My daughter has the same model and she loves hers as well.

I have had 3 Shark products over the years. I have been very satisfied with the Shark vacuums. They consistently put out a good product that I can trust to last. It performs well and is easy to clean the canister and use the attachments.

This Vac is small but very powerful

This is a very good vacuum cleaner. It is easy to maneuver, empty, carry, and pulls up the pet hair like iti says it will.

best vacuum I have ever used.

I am absolutely in love with this vacuum. Both hard floor and carpet option, a low and high suction option. It’a light, you can move it around side to side easy, I love that you can empty the top and bottom of the tank. This is honestly the best vaccum I have ever used. I will never buy another vacuum I swear ????

Tips over with hose use

I enjoy shark vacuums. I currently own 5 (I clean houses). This vacuum is decent. Suction is pretty good. Cord length is OK. My cons with this particular one is the canister fill line is like an inch from the bottom so to me it seems like a lot of wasted space. The hose length is great in theory. The vacuum itself is too light to be able to stay standing while you pull on the hose to use it. Vacuum still stays on when it tips over, so you can at least still use it. Small inconvenience, but it doesn't have lights on the base when vacuuming either. Not a huge deal, but does help when vacuuming on hard wood floors to see the dust. Overall, vacuum isn't bad. I think for the average person, it'd work out great for them. Nice and light, easy to maneuver, decent power

Strong carpet suction

I ordered this corded upright Shark NV151 mostly to do a few area rugs. I have a cordless vacuum I use for my wood floors that I love using (brand begins with a T). However, I find it doesn't do as good a job on my (mostly high pile) carpets. And the battery is sucked down way too fast if I use on the area rugs. I know Shark has a good reputation so wanted to try this out. This vacuum has incredible suction and sucked up a lot more from the rugs that I didn't know was there. So A+ for a true clean. I did have issues with the red light coming on saying there was a jam in the roll brush. Lots of animal and human hair easily tangled around the roller. This does not happen as easily with the roller on my cordless that also picks up my long haired dog as well as human hair. I am still figuring out the best suction control slider settings. I believe I was having such trouble because I didn't have the control all the way to minimum for my higher pile carpets. My cordless automatically changes the suction power so going back and forth from carpet to hard floor isn't such an issue. So there is a bit of a learning curve with the change of settings between hard wood to carpet which changes the brush roll speed. The swivel works well as far as maneuverability but I was disappointed with not being able to reach under lower furniture. I also felt the cord did not stay connected to the holder hook. I did like how easy it was to empty the dust bin, though the capacity did fill quickly because how well this works. Sort of a good news, bad news. You will be emptying this often but it's because it is really picking up everything. And it has a fully sealed Hepa system to keep allergies down. I feel for the low price, this is a good corded upright vacuum. **This does not come with the wide upholstery tool as listed in description and it does not have a headlight (listed under special features) which is a big disappointment. Docked a star for misinformation.
