Works great!

I got these for my Janome serger to seam some clothes for my kids and they are amazing! No issues so far. Currently using medium weight stretch knit bamboo.

What fabric to use for.

It seems that the needles don't work on the fabric I tried to sew ( a Mets shirt). Maybe they are very good on other type of fabric.

Necessity for sewing knits!

These ball-pointed needles will allow you to machine sew knit fabric without snags or runs. They are as easy to install as changing to a sharp needle to replace a broken point. I needed to sew a knit Halloween costume for a 4- month- old grandchild and these guys saved me from ruining lots of fabric with sharps.

I bought these to work with microsuede, and I have to say that I've subsequently used them on all kinds of fabric that you're not supposed to need a ball-point needle for, but they work really well on everything. They happily punch through fabrics that are even difficult to get a pin into- I've been using them for months of heavy sewing (purses and multiple layers of fabric and interfacing) and only one has broken. Super pleased.

Disappointed with Singer

I am disappointed. The needles are meant to sew light weight knit fabrics. Yet they make hole even on very light weight fabrics when the machine is run in low speed with zero tension. Very much disappointed. Didn't expect this from Singer. Also, product description says the pack includes assorted sizes 70/09 and 90/14 but the picture shows the sizes included are 70/09 and 80/11. I hoped to receive 90/14 needles but got 80/11 size.
