Don't let anyone die on your watch...

This bag is a giant turd! If you actually plan on buying and using this you may get lucky... but it will only be once I have a Level 4 Swift Water Rescue Certification and assist in training and certifications I bought this to use for training so as not to destroy my go to rescue bags The description indicated using this in a boating or ice fishing rescue. I would not use this in any rescue situation. Swift water, flat water, Ice, from a boat in an overboard situation or a bathroom tub! I was teaching my daughter to prepare her for an upcoming EMT/Firefighting course Out of the box I noticed several problems that can and will lead to trouble: The rope on the bottom of the bag did not have a grab loop or figure 8, just a half azzed overhand knot. The bag was not stuffed properly. Looks like when it was packed the rope was loop coiled, folder in half and then shoved in the bag. The drawstring closure didn't have a knot in the end Instead of fixing this I used it as an example. I used my rescue bag to explain and demonstrate. Then had her use this bag. As I expected: 1 The toggle slid right off and into the grass 2 The bag went 15 feet and then returned 5 because of the tangle of rope inside Also The grab loop webbing came off, because it was sewn on with 3 stitches of dental floss. After untangling 75' of rope and locating the pieces that flung off, I attempted to re-stuff the bag correctly. Inside I found a very thin piece of foam, which I'll guarantee won't float the bag especially with the giant thick metal washer that was added inside. I finally got 60' of rope stuffed in the bag, no room for the other 15 unless you've got 30 minutes, between throws Save yourself the aggravation Spend an additional $25 and get a proper Throw Bag Like the NRS Standard Rescue Throw Bag
