Don't trust these enough

I have a set of PZ Racing DR 1.1 full carbon rim clinchers with a slick carbon brake track paired with 11 speed Shimano 105 5800 brake calipers. These worked great for me on flats and climbs at first but have a huge tendency to glaze over fast, even with proper feather of brakes. If you do some long descents, I would stay away from these, even if you just ride on flats on dry days, especially in traffic. Ive been able to lock up my wheels while squeezing my brakes hard on descents with these because of the lack of modulation causing tire slippage, which could have been avoided altogether with better modulation of the pads. Cons -lack range of modulation (especially in wet) -glaze over easily, even with feathering -any material that wears off just builds up on the toe leading edge of the pad segments -wear down fast Pros -don't disintegrate and leave dust all over -any material that wears off just builds up on the toe leading edge of the pad segments These could be potentially great in the wet on alloy rims, though they might be to hard on them.

Better mousetrap

Original "carbon-specific" brake pads did two things: (1) Wore out quickly; (2) Made a helluva lot of noise in the process. Installing a set of Kool-Stop brake pads, combined with a thorough cleaning of all associated parts (calipers, brake surfaces) got rid of the squealing and it appears these pads are going to last a good deal longer than the pads they replaced.

キャリパー次第 5700(STI・キャリパー)だとイマイチ(ヌルッと効く) ※9割くらいでロックする 6800(キャリパー)6700(STI)だと十分な制動力 ※7～8割でロックする ※2017年現在での現行のキャリパー(モデルチェンジ後)での使用をオススメします❗ ただ、やはりアルミリムに比べるとカーボンリムは効きが弱い

スイスストップ黄色に似たタッチで攻撃性やや落ち

スイスストップイエローキングに似たゴムっぽい質感で効きは普通、リムへの攻撃性はややましで減りは速め。小雨程度では特に効きが悪くなることもなく、総じて平均点以上な印象です。アウトレット品914円は結果としてお得に感じましたが、現在の価格ですとスイスストップのブラックプリンスと競合します。敢えて推すかと言われると・・・
