Easy install

Easy install! If you're looking to install the grinder or wire wheel attachment this coupler is a must have. Installation took roughly 15 minutes; that's with me reading the instruction booklet as well as assembly. I would note that in order for this to work properly you need to pay close attention to the figures in the instruction booklet. They give very specific instructions on how to line everything up properly. My only complaint, which really wasn't a big deal, was that the screw holes for the coupler mount were not completely drilled out. I had to use the Allen key provided in the packaging to punch out the remaining metal fragments from the machining process. Overall though, another great product and I can't wait to utilize my grinder. It's nice to already have the grinder running and be able to sharpen my tools on the fly.

Such a brilliant idea

This is a brilliant concept for a lathe. All that spinning action put to good use and it means less tools I have to have on the bench. The cast parts are a little rough and not as smooth and refined as I would like but still they work as they should and the coupler locks tight on my Versaturn Grinding Wheel. My only disappointment is that there aren't more accessories. Teknatool showed more tool options when this was first announced such as a disc sander and sanding belt but the only other item available is a wire brush wheel, which I would almost never need or use. Still, it's a great concept that highly influenced my purchase of the Comet II lathe.

Nova lathes come with a great set of accessories, all of which work together to make wood-turning a breeze!

I have never worked with a lathe before and this nova lathe is great. I have been making chess sets for years using different mediums such as grape vine and deer and elk antlers. I decided that I would up my game with a lathe. I have begun making pieces and after the learning curve working with trash wood, I am now using exotic woods and the finished product is amazing! I love my new lathe!

Great for attaching grinding wheel accessory

Grinder accessory attaches easily. Works very well for a slow speed grinder as needed for sharpening lathe chisels. I would not leave the grinder attached while turning since a catch will loosen the stone.

a nice addition to the lathe

this seems to do what it is intended to do, but I am surprised that it doesn't actually lock the grinding attachment in better as I can flip it with a finger to unlock it- ut perhaps this is just the design. I like that it is so quick to take attachments on and off
