Works great with the NutriChef Vacuum Sealer and for sous vide

I bought these NutriChef rolls, because they are the original rolls for the NutriChef Vacuum Sealer, which I bought as well, and they were priced similar to other rolls sold by generic brands. I intended to use the vacuum sealer system for three applications: (1) to preserve food in the fridge for longer, (2) to preserve food in the freezer without freezer burn, and (3) to cook sous vide style with the Anova Culinary A2.2 Sous Vide Precision Cooker Bluetooth, which I also bought alongside. I could not be happier with this system, including these NutriChef rolls. FRIDGE STORAGE Great. For example, I tried it with fresh beef and it preserved the meat fresh for at least three times longer. FREEZER STORAGE I haven't yet fully tested it (no long-term storage), but I did notice fewer ice crystals than usual after opening the bags with frozen food. None of the bags were punctured which attests to the quality of the material. It saves a lot of freezer space as I don’t have to use Tupperware for some foods. The frozen food that went from the freezer to the sous vide tasted delicious, which brings me to the next topic. SOUS VIDE COOKING Great. Much better than zipper lock bags, and probably safer. In one occasion, I cooked a piece of chuck beef for about 48 hours sous vide in a ziploc bag, and the food had a weird taste of what I thought could be plastic. I later cooked another portion of the same chuck beef, having the same rub, for the same amount of time but in a vacuumed bag made with the NutriChef rolls, but this second time the piece tasted delicious without any weird plastic taste. It was a single observation, but the fact that the material of the NutriChef rolls is much thicker than the ziploc freezer bags, I decided to never cook sous vide with other than the NutriChef rolls if cooking for longer than 12 hours. Overall, these rolls are high quality, and they serve their purpose perfectly well, at least when sealed with the NutriChef Vacuum Sealer. The food in the vacuumed bags are preserved well, either in the fridge or freezer, and cooks great in the sous vide, without any plastic taste. With the NutriChef vacuum sealer, the bags seal well. I haven't found any open bags in the freezer or sous vide. I cannot compare these rolls with other rolls of generic brands because these are the only ones I've tried. I have already reordered these rolls once and am about to reorder their bigger brother, the 11' width, as well (those work exactly the same, but they are wider). For those who own the NutriChef Vacuum Sealer, it should be a no-brainer to order these rolls.

Not NutriChef Refill

I ordered these bags for my NutriChef vacuum sealer because I'm out of the small size bag roll. These are nothing like the ones I have at home that came with the machine. The first thing I noticed is that the roll is smooth on the outside and ruff on the inside. It's like the roll was made inside out. So if there's any weight to the item your trying to seal it slips right out of machine. Second it the the plastic is so thin a sharp edge of a lamb chop bone cut the plastic while vacuum sealing it. These were supposed to be NutriChef brand bags. The were shipped in a plastic bag no markings on it and a white box. No brand name anywhere to prove they are as advertised. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone

These worked just like the bags I received with the Nutri Chef Vacuum Sealer. They were much larger than the sample roll included in the box.

Easy enough to use

Requires more material than I would have thought in order for the vacuum sealer to actually seal it, but once you get the portion right it works well.
