Much better than the small automatic I was using.

Right out of the box it made 3 almost perfect smokes. Since then it constantly jams. I only do 100's. As with other reviews there's a gap between the filter and the fill. Now I know why I've seen so many people tamp their smokes before lighting. LoL. This thing jams a lot so I played with the moisture of the tobacco. Nothing works. How do I add moisture? Per the counter I've only made 41 smokes. However, I've gone through ~200 tubes. This morning it quit. So, now after reading some reviews, instead of going the service route I'm going to open it up and see what's going on. Since the those 3 mostly successful smokes I've been doing the following: 1. Jams of 1st try. 2. The thing that is supposed to clear the jam deposits a variable amount in the tube which I tamp down. I do this about 5 more times until the injector makes a different sound which has meant that it's ready to inject. 3. Put on an empty tube and the injector deposits whatever is left. Wash, rinse, and repeat. Once the tube is full except for the last 1/4"-1/3" I fill the rest by hand and tamp down. Like I said though it broke this morning. Getting my tools out but I'm ordering another beforehand.

Moisture meter for Woodworking

I am not a professional reviewer! I bought this moisture meter September 2020 for $48 to use on some cookies that my son cut out of a tree that we removed because it was too close to a power line. He says, “So I could make something out of them.” Apparently, it is really good at finding moisture from leaks in walls, but it also gives numbers for hardwood and softwood. I was interested in relative numbers anyway, and for that it works really well. It has a “pad” on the back for the measuring area of about 1.5" x 1.5", but they do make one with pointed pins, too. It is very rugged feeling, and I’m not going to test that part out! "It can read the levels up to 3/4" (19mm) deep into the surface with a broad measurement range of 0 to 53% for softwood, 0 to 35% for hardwood, and relative readings for wallboard, drywall, and masonry." It mostly just sits there on my tool shelf and has not run the 9V alkaline battery down. That’s a plus for me, too. Recommended.

Really does work

I use this moister meter for work and really helps me explain moisture behind walls to my homeowners. Seems to be really accurate as well.

Came without directions

For the price pretty good detects moisture in drywall and flooring, concrete… I had to go online to learn how to calibrate it and proper procedure for detection purposes. It did what I needed it to do.

Inaccurate readings.

Use this on any surface and the readings will be high. Compared against a probe type its a mile out. Completely useless.

Did the job I wanted
