This is much better than the regular

I was using the regular model to play fetch with my energetic Australian Shepherd until I discovered this version. I bought (2), one for myself and one for my wife. It’s SOO much more comfortable on the hands due to the gel / rubber. I will say that the original launcher seemingly can throw the ball much further but that may be because it was used and the handle may have been more broken in. Not sure but I’d highly recommend this one over the original if your budget allows..

Chuckit Pro Fetch Toy Ball Launcher For Dogs

Whether it's here or through Chewie, or wherever I can find them on sale. These are my go to launchers. This is the best invention ever I don't care the size, because all depends on how much yard you have to work with for your dog to run on. These are amazing! I currently own four. If I am a puppy gets to one and starts chewing the actual launcher, it's time to re-order. These will never be something I like around my house. I have seven dogs of my own, and I am a professional Dog Sitter as well. I cannot stress enough how amazing this product is!

This thing is amazing. I got the XL for my XL Chesapeake Bay Retriever. She only ever thinks about one thing...retrieving. All day every day dreaming and while awake this is her highest desire. She is a formally trained hunting dog but sometimes I just don't have the energy to work her properly, and that's where this magic wand comes in. I can launch the XL balls much farther than I can throw them and wear her out in fairly short order. Overall I am extremely pleased with the chuckit and very happy that you can buy them for the XL balls! I suggest buying the Ultra balls as well, because the ball that comes with it is kind of trash. The Ultra balls last a lot longer.

Pretty good

I got this to replace my size M original blue chuckit launcher that I have had since probably 2009 with my childhood dogs. It’s not broken, but my dog is a bit too large for the size M balls and I’m afraid he will swallow. I got the size large and it doesn’t launch the ball quite as far. I think it’s because the neck is a bit more bendy than the old original one. Other than that it does get the job done. Saves your hands from slobbery dirty balls and also from breaking your back to continuously throw for your pup. The ball that it comes with is pretty crappy, and broke within ten throws but I don’t really care because I have a 3 pack of 3” chew king balls that fit just fine. I do wish it came with a chuckit ultra ball, though. Would kind of suck to buy this unknowingly and have to replace your dogs ball immediately.

Best ever buy for my dog.

Since buying this I have used it probably 10 times a week, and I’ve had it for over a year. I have a Labrador that could rival 10 year olds for energy. He needs to run, not just walk. The Chuckit launcher pro can throw up to or around 80 - 140 meters depending on level surface and weather conditions. The ball the launcher came with isn’t compatible with my dog, although the chuckit whistle balls are perfect but I’ll move on to them later. If you’re not experienced with how to aim and throw with a launcher or have the space to use it I’d suggest starting off with a smaller one, rather than the pro model. This has with out doubt been the best buy for my dog. I’m so glad I decided to buy it. I can remember debating about spending that much on a launcher but since I did I’ve really not looked back. Other launcher brands just don’t throw as far. I have found that using a ball whilst walking helps me stop my dog from eating things on the floor that he shouldn’t, it gives me that split second to intervene before he gets a chance. It also helps keeps his focus, so he really isn’t interested in other dogs or people whilst he is holding or chasing his ball. The ball he uses is the chuckit whilstle ball, this ball has a couple of holes so that when it is thrown it makes a sound and he can follow. These balls really are perfect for him, although expensive, so annoying when he loses one. I couldn’t praise chuckit enough. Thank you for an amazing product that gets used daily.

Two reviews in one !!!

Would get more stars if it was the actual item I ordered (I've had the max glo before, and can confirm they are the dogs balls launcher (????????see what I did there) with sturdy frame and soft contoured rubber grip for comfort. Also the max glo ball is great, it has holes in it and therefore whistles when launched thru the air. Unfortunately I received a basic blue model with basic tennis ball (my dog would destroy this in one outing, no good) and no rubber on the grip. It seems to be called the "sport 25" model. I would avoid this if came across . I've written this review for the benefit of customers as well as the seller, because I don't see an option to add photo when contacting seller to inform that I have received the wrong item..... Anyway, back to the max glo.. yes, five stars for it, two stars for this model I received (I've labelled it one star to hopefully draw the sellers attention and show them the photo ) so in summary. Buy the max glo, and pray you don't receive this one ????. Regards, Kirk...

Throws a ball the length of a football pitch with minimal effort

Our Labrador loves chasing after a ball. I can throw her ball about 30 m but having had shoulder injuries in the past, I decided to look for a more efficient way of doing the job. I saw a fellow dog walker using this brand of ball launcher so decided to buy the top-of-the-line version. This device is just about perfect. It picks up the ball from the ground, with no need to stoop down or get muddy and then with one swoop, the ball loops high in the air and easily travels the entire length of a football pitch. Our Labrador was delighted, although I now need to train her how to watch the ball as it goes high in the sky. In the meantime, I can also angle my throws so it stays lower, making it easier for her to track and chase. Whilst it is more expensive than a cheap copy, this launcher is a pleasure to use for both of us!

Quality and function doesnt come cheap but this is in a different league,

Awesome! Okay this is pricey compared to mainstream ball throwers, but for an energetic German Shepherd the Chuckit XL balls and launcher are in a different league - our dog can run for miles and dismember a tennis ball in a few seconds so we needed a long, consistent thrower with resilient balls We have only used the Chuckit XL Ultra ball with this thrower because we know it to be reasonably GSD proof (though, as pictured, the thrower does come with a tough looking XL sized tennis ball) - both are a perfect fit and work very well The launcher picks up the ball easily and releases predictably, even when wet/dirty/grassy - though one of our children struggles to get any height with the thrower it works fine for users 9 to 90 and quickly gets better with a little practice. Because the laucher is so long (26 inches) it is easy to pick up balls without bending. Downsides are possibly price - we paid about fifteen pounds for the thrower and another tenner for an ultra XL ball - but quality is very decent. I find the ribbed grip slightly uncomfortable but others do not - a very minor issue. Given we can consistently get the ball 30 to 40m with every throw our dog easily covers a mile+ of running in a 20 minute session before showing signs of fatigue - a tired dog is a happy dog :)

Pro 26L Ball Launcher 66cm Review

This launcher is sturdy and slightly heavier than others. The finger/hand grip is a good design and comfortable to use. It uses 3" balls, so you must take that in to consideration. Because it uses 3" balls, when they get wet, it adds to the weight, so more effort is required. My only two gripes, are 1) that the Chuckit 3" whistler balls are too small, and do not fit the ball holder, rendering them unusable 2) the green insert on the handle (on the hand side) is just proud, so it rubs the skin, this may just be a manufacturing issue, but when you are paying this price, you would not expect it.
