I got this to replace a lost one from my set purchased in 1954. Yes, I can tell the difference between this one and what I already have but really have to look. No one else would notice. I was glad the company is still making them.

These won't "fit" with orignals.

I bought spoons from Oneida to add to a 30 year old service for 8. What I received was only superficially like the originals. The bowls were wider and shallower and the finish was brushed rather than a smooth clean sheen. Complaints to Oneida received no response. If these are the same (since they are touted as "new"), one should not use with original 'Paul Revere'; they do not "spoon" together in the drawer with others due to the shape difference and look odd in a place setting with originals. In a phrase: cheap, careless, crude imitations.

Better than I expected

I bought these to supplement ones that I have lost in the 40 years since I got them as a wedding present. I was delighted when they came in and were even better quality than the originals. Great service and a wonderful product at a reasonable price.
