Control unit very flimsy

The whole system works well - we bought 14 gauge wire too. The collar works well and as predicted. However, the control unit that the fence wire 'plugs' into is incredibly fragile and flimsy - meaning that the wire is more robust that the box it goes into - the clips that hold the wire in place both broke and the terminals inside the unit the the wire connects to were very easily bent from pushing the wire inside.

Works Like A Charm

This item replaced a system we installed several years ago but which stopped working. A checkup by vendor determined that the collar was broken and needed replacing for an unacceptable amount. So a search on my browser brought me to PetSafe. I was thrilled to learn that I could purchase the collar, flags, etc, (everything I needed) without the wiring for considerably less than half the price of the collar by other vendor. PetSafe arrived in timely fashion and worked perfectly. My only complaint would be the size of the flags (very small) but they were effective so what more would I want!! Very comfortable now to let dog outside without having to be watched!! Highly recommended!

It worked for us

We already had the underground wire installed by Pet Stop Quakertown Pa, a company that I wouldn't recommend. So in a successful attempt to get rid of them, I replaced the transmitter and collars with petsafe.

Works great

Great investment for the cost. It took a day to install 2000’ of wire. I upgraded to the 14 gauge and just layed it on the ground throughout my woods and buried it under paths and cut a slit in my drive about 1 1/2 deep. My dog got 2 days of training then got zapped then never tried to run across it again.

Worked good. Doesn't seem like a great value however. Not enough flags. Purchasing the kit with the wiring would be the better deal
