Clean those brushes…

Very useful to get my brushes clean. I hadn’t cleaned them in years. Helped with the small and large bristled brushes.

Excellent alternative to pricier brush cleaning mats

I wanted a cleaning mat for my brushes, but didn't really see the point of paying $20-$30 for a name brand brush cleaning mat. (A nubby silicone mat is a nubby silicone mat, right?) I am really glad I opted for this mat. It is a nice large size, has multiple different textures (similar to the $25 Sigma mat), and works great for getting brushes clean. The only possible downsides are that it does not have suction cups on the back to hold it in place in your sink, and it does not come with directions. Usage is pretty self-explanatory, though. I simply place the mat into my sink, run a bit of water over it, squirt some liquid soap on (you don't need much), and rub the brushes around on it until they are clean (goes quickly). I also use it for rinsing - just let the faucet water run over it while I rub the brushes over the mat. This type of mat will definitely speed up your cleaning process & really deep clean your brushes. The varying textures on the mat really work well to get everything out of your brushes, particularly if you use a lot of dense synthetic kabuki or Artis-type style brushes that are notoriously difficult to clean. I personally find a flat-bottom sink (like a kitchen sink) easier to use than a smaller bathroom sink. This mat is an excellent alternative to pricier mats, and I definitely recommend it.

Nice.. but got sent the wrong color

I wanted pink but I got blue instead. I’m sure it works just the same but I still wanted pink. Also it’s just a mat, not suction

Cut my washing time in half!

I bought this to see if it would help with my current makeup brush washing routine. I would just use my hands to try and work the makeup out of the brush and it would take forever and kill my hand. This helps so much! I feel like it cut my time doing this in half! The only thing is that it doesn’t suction to the sink so it does move around but I just hold it down and it’s fine. I put it at the bottom of the sink, pour just a little Dawn (a cheaper alternative to makeup brush shampoos! If it’s gentle enough for baby ducks, it’s gentle enough for me!) on the mat and a little on my brush, wet my brush with some warm water, and then swivel my brush around the mat until the water runs clean and then I’m done! I highly recommend this!

It’s just okay

In all honesty I was pretty excited about this. Once it came in the mail I began cleaning my brushes right away. I haven’t cleaned my brushes in a few weeks (gross, I know) so this may just be because of that but I noticed as soon as I was finished the makeup residue stayed on the mat. After rinsing and scrubbing for about five min the residue did not budge (first pic was after cleaning brushes, last pic was after scrubbing mat). I also expected it to be a bit bigger, the size now is acceptable but some of my powder brushes were too big. I tried usuing my beauty blender on it but I realized the mat is too rough for my beauty blender as some of the blender was torn, it’s not very noticeable though. With this being said I wouldn’t recommend using a beauty blender on it. As far as cleanliness goes, I feel the mat just did an average job I could’ve easily done without it. I like the concept of this and it did make me excited to clean my brushes but I’m not sure if it’s worth the money, I would not recommend spending your last dimes on it but if you have the money and want to try it out, I encourage that.

How To Use It + Tips!

I have so many different brands and types of makeup brushes, and I've tried ordering a few different brush cleaning products like this.. this one is my favorite! Some of the ones I've ordered ended up being too small to be useful, others arrived with really, really tiny textures that aren't raised enough to really scrub the bristles, and other types of cleaning devices have been just too much to fumble with. This mat's perfect. To Use: I get it wet the back of it before using so it sticks well to the inside of the sink basin. Then, I pour a bit of brush shampoo across the mat and get to work swishing wet brushes over it in large circular patterns. This mat's great! Just make sure to dry it after each use to avoid mildew!

They sent wrong color

I ordered the baby pink but they sent me the red. Obviously not a huge deal but I was disappointed since my favorite color is pink. I double checked my order and yes I ordered the baby pink. Otherwise seems to be a good product.

Worth every lenny

This is very easy to use and helps clean makeup brushes quite easily. I removed one star because there are no directions in the package. I had to go back online with amazon to review the product and figure out on my own how to use it. Other than that, it's a great product.
