this works great just as described. you do not have to strain to reach the float supports the pole and you just push it out to where the leaves are.

So quick and easy to skim my pool! But it broke.

Wow! This tool makes skimming my pool so much easier. Update: The plastic part that connects to the pole broke after 2 years of use. Poolmaster needs to redesign the plastic part to make it stronger. The plastic around the locking buttons is too thin and the holes for the locking buttons weakens the structure even more. Update: I salvaged the broken tool by permanently screwing the remaining stub onto a pole with a couple of stainless steel screws. Essentially, the pole is now permanently dedicated to this tool.
