these are great clamps, well made

I use them to hold an addtional wood fence on my table saw. they are very well made, tighten easily and can be removed quickly. If you have a woodshop, these are a super accessory to have for many saws, routers etc. Ordered another set as soon as I saw the quality and had put them to use.

Good product

Just received these clamps. Seem to be solid and should last for a long time. I took one star off because the package arrived in a padded envelope inside which was the Powertec box containing the clamps. However, the box was open and the clamps were in the box (no plastic ziploc bag). They showed signs of scuffing and minor scratches. I dont think any of this will affect the functionality of these clamps, but I expected items to arrive looking brand-new. and they didnt.

Great substitute for other *Name Brand* product

I bought two sets of clamps. They are compatible with some Rockler corner brackets. Good value for the cost. Just like most items that are threaded together, If you over tighten them, they are aluminum and may bend or break. So don’t do that.

Great for zero-clearance fence

Worked great for table saw & router table zero-clearance fence. A quick tip -- drill the holes for the clamp arms to allow the square clamp body to sit flush to the edge of the fence so that as you tighten the clamp nut, the clamp doesn't roll on you.

perfect clamps at a very reasonable price

I purchased these clamps to work with two, homemade jigs for my wood shop. The first is a small hole-drilling jig for my drill-press. These clamps hold it securely on the metal table of the drill-press without getting in the way of the spindle. The second is a sacrificial fence attachment for my table saw. Again, I can clamp the auxiliary fence to the saw's fence without getting in the way of the stock, my hands or the blade. Given time, I will probably find more ways to use these clamps. As they say, you can never have too many clamps in the shop.

Rockler better machined for same price

These are essentially a clone of the Rockler clamps, which I purchased from Amazon a decade ago, in 2011. I needed another pair and these had fast Prime shipping, but it was a mistake to order them. See the side by side and close up photos of each. Powertec in black and Rockler in blue. First, the machining and anodizing of the Rocker clamps are much better. The Powertecs are rough - you can easily see machine marks while the Rocklers are smooth. The Powertecs have sharp edges while the Rockers are slightly rounded over - even the bore for the threaded piece is chamfered on the Rockler but not on the Powertecs. Finally, the anodizing on the Rockers is much higher quality - the Powertecs apear to be painted rather than anodized. BTW, ignore the mastic tape on the feet of the Rocklers, I added that to not dent workpieces as readily. Powertec has similar feet. As for the manufacturer's boast about being bent at 95 degrees to pull tighter and flatter, that's true BUT the Rocker's also are overbent. See photos against my Bridge City Tools square. I'd guess the Rocker's are only bent to 93 degrees, but that's plenty and may even be better in some situations. As long as they are slightly more than 90 degrees you're good, IMO. Anyway, these are going back and I'm ordering another pair of the Rocklers again. These ain't bad, but for the same money you can get better.

These clamps are made out of heavy duty material and look like they will do the job. I am a wee bit curious why the screw tang is not at right angles to the thread but it should not be a problem if the hole in the fence or stop block is drilled a bit over-size.
