Excellent eraser. One small problem.

Good eraser. It is comfortable, erases quickly (compared to any other I've used), and the suede side cleans better than I thought possible without water--that side erases even the horrible Crayola chalk! Workmanship is unimpressive, with felt of unequal lengths and sloppy gluing, but I believe that that's just a cosmetic issue. Mmmmm, eraser as fashion accessory. Check out our matching Harris tweed sportscoats :) The real problem is that as shipped from Amazon, there is a barcode stuck to the suede, and I mean STUCK! It comes off in tiny flakey pieces, and tears the surface of the suede as it does so. I anticipate spending another 10 minutes with tweezers trying to get the damned barcode off.

Hoped for better

It's really hard to find a good chalkboard eraser these days! We painted a chalkboard wall in the playroom for my daughter and had a hard time finding an eraser that wasn't flimsy. After much research, I selected this one. It works okay, but not as well as i would have hoped for the price.

Works great but it's too big.

Not sure what the chamois is for. The felt works great but the eraser is much larger than I expected. Almost too big for a kitchen chalkboard. More suitable for a small classroom chalkboard.

If you don't need an everyday eraser this would be fine, but for me

I needed a heavy duty eraser and I thought this would be it, but it wasn't. It lasted about 2 months in my classroom and then the top part fell off. If you don't need an everyday eraser this would be fine, but for me, it wasn't.

Works like the ones I remember from school days

Unlike the ones available in office stores that are supposed to work with both blackboard AND whiteboard, this is like the ones I remember from my school days (ending in 1974). Our church still has the old-fashioned blackboards and they were a mess because the new kinds don't really work well on chalkboards. This one is great. The white side erases especially cleanly.

Simply the best for a good chalkboard!

When I was in school many, many years ago, chalkboards were the window into into learning. It even had the dust to slightly obscure the vision:-) If you have a good chalkboard and want to treat it "right", order one of these for yourself.

Best chalk eraser on the market!

If you still use a chalk board in addition to the erasable white boards, then you need this eraser. It is not expensive, is just the right size to hold, and does an incredible job cleaning the board. I highly recommend this eraser.
