Great, very challenging puzzle

We have a teenage grandson who is a genius at most of these types of puzzles. He can solve them is literally seconds. He has totally enjoyed the challenge that this one provides him.

Amazing!

Got this for my dads birthday. He absolutely loves Rubik’s Cubes so I was glad to find one that could really challenge him. To anyone wondering, it does come solved.

It's a neat gimmick and HARD to solve.

Pros: I love the color changing and that makes it nearly impossible to solve. I sometimes think I didn't even solve it. The colors are cool on display, the cube keeps it shape better than the Rubik base model. Cons: This is the cheapest feeling cube I think I have in my collection. For the price I would've expected better from Rubik. Very fake feeling, no real weight, not a smooth turner, does have a LITTLE ability to cut corners though not much. No snapping or magnets. Can't do any speed cubing on it... but with the changing colors you really can't anyway! LOL Overall, I love that I own this as part of my collection, not a favorite to play with, but it is eye catching!

Advanced puzzle toy for adults

I would not recommend this cube for a child who has not at least mastered the algorithms necessary to solve the original cube as it can be very frustrating and even discouraging at first but for someone with a great deal of patience and an abundance of confidence this is an absolute treasure. Someone who has never learned to solve a Rubik's cube will be lost endlessly trying to solve this one. It took me several hours for several days to complete it successfully. It's the coolest cube to look at and by far my favorite and most impressive of all that I have in my less than modest collection of cubes.

My new favorite Rubik's puzzle!

This puzzle is wonderful on multiple levels. It is my new favorite twisty puzzle, hands down. Just for a start, the visual effects of the lenticular tiles are more interesting than is easily conveyed in photos. From certain angles, each of your eyes may see the same tile as a different color; ironically, this sometimes means perceiving so-called "impossible colors" like yellow-blue or red-green as your brain tries to combine the visual inputs. The main thing I love is that this puzzle is genuinely challenging even for someone who has played with many twisty puzzles. There are two different solutions; the first is shown in the product photos and videos where each side appears as a solid color from a particular angle. This is quite a fun challenge by itself. But the second solution is substantially harder, and really raises the challenge level beyond what I expected! For the second solution, each side "twinkles" the correct color as one views it from changing angles, but there is no single perspective where all tiles on one side show the same color. The one "clue" as to which tiles were correct for the first solution (they show the same color at the same time) is of no help at all in finding the second... instead it was a deduction problem, and quite the mental workout! There is still room for improvement in the design and implementation. Many of the colors can be difficult to tell apart... a tile that shifts between red and yellow might sometimes appear to be orange, for example. The "classic" Rubik's colors are probably not the ideal choice for this sort of puzzle. All in all though, I'm glad this product exists and love the idea!

Hard in a weird way

This is hard but not in that it's a puzzle, hard in that you need really good light as the holographic cubes are hard to see. It doesn't increase the challenge of a Rubik's cube in a fun way, it just kind of makes you feel like you need glasses or an Ott-Lite or something. My daughter left it in an airbnb as a gift to the next people because it made her so annoyed.

Para los amantes de lo difícil

Una buena opción para los aficionados de los cubos Rubik o similares, le agrega un toque adicional de dificultad al clásico y si no tienes un buen ojo y lo colocas en la posición correcta puedes ser fácilmente engañado.

Exelente cubo

El cubo está muy bonito, gira bien y todas sus piezas son de buen material, es muy llamativo ya que cambia mucho los colores con el movimiento no se si esto afecte a personas con enfermedades de epilepsia pero si al girarlo muy rápido puede llegar a marear. Imposible como tal no es a mi me costo 4 días en armarlo. C:
