Blows a lot of hot air. Great for removing things that are stuck, or making S'mores.

This heat gun produces more hot air than my ex-wife at our last alimony hearing, and is nowhere near as expensive. It is powered by electricity and sounds like a hair dryer, it is not shrill and ear-piercing like my previous estrogen-powered model. Similar to my previous hot-air generator, this thing is bent on destruction and will melt anything in its path using the angry heat of a million suns. Make sure when you turn it on that you are committed to following through until the bitter end.

Works very well heats up quickly

The cable is thick and the heat gun heats up quickly. It doesn’t put off a strong chemical smell when using for long periods of time. It is strong enough to burn and melt so use caution.

Great value heat gun

If you need a heat gun but don't want to spend a fortune on a more recognized brand, this is it. Works great, definitely blows hot air, lots of different settings. And the cooldown feature is great too to keep it from burning itself out. Totally recommend this.

Great Working Heat Gun

This product came as advertised. The heat and fan controls make it very simple to operate and to control the heat. The unit is lightweight and easy to handle with one hand while placing the heat shrinks with the other. Highly recommend!

Perfect for the job...

This Wagner Furno 500 Heat Gun really did the trick in sealing the neck wraps on my chilli sauce bottles. Nice that you can adjust the heat for the various task on hand. Practical resting points for cooling heat gun. Should have pick one up years ago... tons of uses with this handy tool! A little large in size (similar to a hair dryer) but after a few uses, you'll get use to its handling size. For storage purpose, I would have liked to have purchased it with a Wagner case. None were available in Canada and was too costly with US shipping... so I'll wait.

This is a 110V device

Be careful if you are in a 220V country and consider to buy this tool. The voltage requirement is even not specified on the tool body. It can only be found in the manual. Amazon page should include this pieces of critical information.

Great handsfree operation

I use it to assist in soldering PCBs, to heat up resin and to strip paint on wood. Does all of these perfectly. I took some measurements, results are LOW 80W and HIGH 1050W. When you power it off, it goes into cooling mode: the fan goes to max speed for a couple minutes during which the buttons stop working. You can end cooling mode by holding the power button. Honestly, it stinks that there's no standby function. [Take notes Wagner] While working with a heat gun I often put it down for some time then pick it back up. It's not safe or economical to leave the heat on during this time so instinctly you want to turn it off but if you do, it will go into cooling mode and then you have to wait over 3 minutes. You can hold the power button a few seconds to force it to turn it off and then power it on again with default settings. I found that the best way to use it in this type of situation is to just lower the heat to minimum and raise it back up when I need the gun again, but that requires clicking the minus and plus buttons ten times. It still uses up more power than a standby mode because the heating element is ON.
