Works well for the money spent.

I’m going with a 5 Star on the product because it does the job as advertised. I would have preferred to have spent a little more on a guide that had the same features as the Bosch, Dewalt, or Makita offer allowing for better dust collection and adjustability. The product works well, and gets used periodically with my projects. Not a pro grade product by any means.

Ok for casual DIY projects.

Someone reviewed that this guide doesn't come with the screws, and it's true. But my Hitachi router kit came with 2 screws for it. I tried this guide for the first time, and it was ok. It didn't cause any issue. It's not a heavy duty guide with some fancy features like the ones I've seen in youtube, but for the price, I think the purchase was justified for a casual DIY guy like me.

Patience Required

There is play when making fine adjustments that can throw off your measurements by an 1/16", it takes patience. However, it's just a sturdy straight edge. I would try the Bosch, but I am not sure if it fits the Metabo.

Great buy for 20 bucks

Fit perfectly in my km12vc plunge base. Some reviews stated it seemed flimsy. Don't let that stop you from buying. Not sure what other people are doing with their routers, but this is plenty sturdy. Also, I found two screws and an allen key in a bag in my router kit that worked perfectly for securing the rails to the base. I'm pretty sure all the router kits like mine came with them.

Looks flimsy but is actually very sturdy

This product arrived on time but the first one mass missing one of the guide rods. As usual, Amazon promptly replaced the incomplete unit and replaced with a new one with free one day shipping. Although this product does not look as sturdy or as "high tech" as some of the other manufacturers straight edge guides in performs well. The only thing one could ask for is a gauge to show how far your are from the edge of a piece of work.

great addon

simple and efficient the lenght is great and the support bar comes with a couple of holes so you can screw a bigger piece tuff built, but the only thing i would add to the design would be the same mechanism that locks the height of the router, a lever that clamps the screw, because it's a little hassle to release it and setting it on the go, but not much of an issue.

Fits. The rods are a little small and the screws to secure it to the router are missing. But all in all. No complaints. Especially for the price.

This fit perfectly into my Hitachi router and has made trimming laminate countertops even easier. My one complaint is that the guide is built of rather flimsy material. Although it has worked fine, don't expect it to survive any rough treatment in your job box.

impressive quality

This is a quality piece of kit. It sturdy enough to give precise, accurate results. it is not die cast or stamped junk (which far to many other manufacturers turn out). If Hitachi keeps putting out this quality of product it will soon become the measure for home craftsman tools.
