Awesome but so small

Number one son is a soccer goal keeper. He's 5'10" and 145 pounds. I wanted him to have a good protection shirt that covers the elbows for training days and I knew storelli would fit the bill. He wears storelli padded compression shorts in small but could probably go to medium soon. Thanks to the reviews I got this shirt in large and it fits like it should -- fairly snug and annoying to take off. The shirt itself is fine. Slightly padded compression shirt. Doesn't slip over the elbows so perfect for keeping skin protected when diving and sliding through the grass. I'm happy with it. He's happy with it. Come July in the Florida heat I'm sure it will be left at home but for now it's just what I wanted to see. Shirt is holding up to 3 harsh training sessions per week. No snags. Storelli padded compression shorts of same material have lasted over a year so I expect the same or better with this.

Got it for elbow protection

I got this for elbow protection in particular, although other body protection is also nice (primarily indoor soccer use). As someone else noted, if in doubt buy larger size - it is tight. Only shortcoming of the product is that the 3/4 length sleeves will ride up during a match, and then elbow protection still covers points of elbows, but forearms are left more exposed. Some mechanism to tighter the "cuff" on the sleeves would be good to prevent it from riding up. If you look at the picture, you can see how elbows are protected versus forearms - and that gets to be more the case as the sleeves (which are the same tight compression material) work their way up. Overall, more costly than separate elbow pads, but I like it.

After using this shirt a number of times I have decided that it is simply okay. First: It offers way less protection then I thought in the sides and elbows. The shoulders I can understand being a little light so as to not add to much bulkiness to the shirt. However, the lack of elbow and side protection is very undesired. Second: Overall it fills simply like an Under Armor style shirt that is really long. I do like that the elbow pads are fixed and seem to stay over the elbows and do add some protection, I just cant get over the fact that I paid so much for as little protection. I sure hope the pants offer better padding then the shirt of I will be returning them when I get them. UPDATE: After using this for an indoor game, I received a turf burn on my right elbow. I bought this to prevent this, what gives?

If you can squeeze into it, you might like it.

This runs small. Like, very small. Like, I'm afraid I'm going to pull my arms out of my shoulder sockets after matches when I try to take it off. This is by design, of course, because you want the padding to be specifically placed on body parts and not slide around during activity. There's no way on God's green earth that you'll be able to get into this shirt if you're already sweating. Now, I do like that there is padding, and I love that it's a 3/4 sleeve base layer--for some reason, 3/4 sleeves are the unicorns of goalkeeper gear, which works out terribly for me since that's my preferred length. But I can't say that this shirt is getting a lot of run for me, unless I expect to be facing a lot of action on a subpar field...and even then I might forego it because of the sizing problems.

May come a little tight but perfect in all other aspects

Came as described and bodyshield is really good, my only problem was i feel it is a little tight but this is my first time playing soccer so i don’t really know if its suppose to feel this way or i need a bigger size. Other than that perfect.

AWESOME GEAR!

I am a soccer goalie in Tucson AZ, and the fields here are horrible (especially in the goalie box). It was difficult for me to dive without being scared of getting bruised, scraped, etc. This product brings out the full potential of soccer goalies. Not this this only protects the goalie from the impact itself, but the material prevents scrapes and burns. The sizing is very accurate, the pads are thick and dense (not like other jerseys), and it also provides rib cage protection (very important for low dives). I would recommend this to every goalie. One problem: the collar is a little tight on the neck, but just a minor complaint.

Great product! Order a size up.

I bought this to wear for soccer as both a goalie and a defender. As recommended by others, I ordered a size up, and it fit perfectly (I'm 5'10" 165lbs, normally a M - bought a L). Very comfortable! I also got the Shock Doctor Shockskin Lax Relaxed Fit Impact Short, which paired perfectly with it (https://amzn.to/2U4hJat), and it has cup protection.

run a size small but great product

This is an excellent product. Definitely runs small though. I am normally a medium or large so played it safe getting the large and turned out that it is just about big enough for me. So always go a size up on this.

Excelente calidad y ajuste perfecto

Compré esta playera después de usar playeras de portero con protección mínima de una marca alemana muy famosa, la diferencia es abismal. Portereo en canchas de Turf, la amortiguación de impacto sobre las articulaciones, especialmente en los codos, es buenísima, resiste muy bien la abrasión del campo sintético. Después de usar la playera me animé a comprar los pantalones de la marca, con altas espectativas de que la calidad sea la misma. Esperaba la playera en color blanco por la imagen mostrada, pero llego en negro, la verdad es que el color no me importó despues de probarla en la cancha. La recomiendo ampliamente.

Ottima maglia, comoda e protettiva. Serve una sopra maglia altrimenti è un po' vistosa. Le protezioni sono valide e ben posizionate. L'unica pecca è che il tessuto mi sembra molto sottile e non particolarmente resistente, in particolare nelle zone non imbottite. Nella schiena per esempio, è micro forato per permettere di far uscire il sudore, però poi quando la tolgo sudato, siccome aderisce bene, sento dei 'crack' di cedimento ... speriamo che non si strappi tra poco ... :-)
