Nice!

First you need to know I did not install this in a ground camp fire as I have a freestanding pit. For my install I had to weld a pipe inside my pit then cut the fins off the bottom of the ground stake. So I can not tell you about how well it drives in or the stability from wobble, my review is strictly about the the great and finish. I was concerned about the paint on the cook surface so I built a bigger fire then a cook fire and pre burnt the grill for an hour and I was impressed as it did not even show a heat mark. Now after four short cooks of burgers dogs and one steak night it still looks like the day I took it out of the box. All I have done to clean it is a wet rag when it was hot and a dry rag when it cooled then a light spray of oil. the last pic is after all the cooks and cleans.

Nice for camping

Personally, I would like to have a longer stake/pole. Taller fire pits or large fires can make this a little short. Otherwise, it works great for both grilling and pots and pans with the good sized grate.

Ok people, if you are gonna cook directly ON the steel grid, it IS painted. It isn't MEANT for that, good grief, but if you do that, at least put the grill almost into the fire the first time to burn off the paint, ok? Otherwise this is an AWESOME grill to set pans on and cook food or keep stuff warm. And to those ignorant people that think steel grills over a fire SHOULD NOT RUST, then you are clueless. ANY steel other than stainless will rust over a fire EVEN IF PAINTED. Because PAINT ISN'T FIREPROOF FOLKS

5 years and still working

We bought this when we started camping in 2017 and would still have it if my husband did not leave it behind the last time he camped with friends. We are ordering another one now because it was easy to use and durable. One thing I would say is that it will not cover your entire firepit. It was big enough for our family of 4 to cook on. Second thing to know is to not leave it over the fire once you are done cooking. It will get too hot. It just spins out away from the fire and you are set. Photo is from this year. Highly recommend

Already Rusting

This grate was easy to assemble and add to my fire pit. I’ve used it a few times and it’s pretty sturdy. My only complaint is that it’s already rusting all across the grate. Would’ve expected more durability in an outdoor product.

Exactly as described. Great value for the price.

The grill is exactly what we were looking for at our campsite. It makes the huge breakfasts of bacon, eggs, sausage and toast easier to make without melting from the heat of the fire. Assembly was relatively easy. Directions didn’t help much, but if you take the time to look at how they should fit together, it’s pretty clear. Our fire pit is made of cinder block, so we were a little worried about it being tall enough. It turned out perfectly, though I think an optional taller stake might be helpful for some. We did place a brick against it inside of the pit just to keep it secure because we were a little concerned that the stake wasn’t buried deep enough. It is good and sturdy. Held a cast iron griddle and a pan of eggs without tipping. I had a little trouble swinging the grate when it was full, but I think we over tightened it.

Love it

LOVE IT!! Best outdoor over the fire cooking system that I have used in years!! As an avid outdoors man I have built and bought numerous tools to cook over the fire. My Brother and I used this system for a 48 hour camping trip and loved every minute of it. I love how you can rotate it away from the fire and have one side cooking while the other side is staying warm. No more having to sit the cast iron skillet on the coals. The ability to raise and lower the device comes in handy depending on what you are cooking. I had no issues and will definitely use this device for more camping trips.
