Wonderful for keeping my pump from freezing

Need to keep my water pump from freezing in the winter so I plug a heat lamp into this and it’ll kick on before it freezes and kicks off when it gets warm

Didn't work

I tried using it with a small heater in my well house for a night that fell well below 35°F. It doesn't work. I tested the heater and the outlet and I tested this device in another location that was also below 35 and it still didn't work. Based on other reviews, it seems that some of them are duds. I suppose I'll try getting another one, because I really don't want the pipe in my well house to freeze again if we get temps below freezing! Update: I ordered a replacement and this 2nd one didn't work either. And now I can't find a way to request a refund. What a waste of time and money.

Great for enclosed trailer!

I use this in my 5x10 enclosed trailer. I have a power strip setup on wall with this thermocube plugged into it. And then I plug a 350 watt handy heater directly into the thermocube. I've only had a week or so but is doing the trick so far. Mine came on at 34°.

Outdoor lights to keep plants warm

I found this product from a Palm Tree Company. We wrap our palm trees on Long Island during the winter and the thermocube automatically turn the light bulbs on when temperatures drop below 35*. Fold fronds up, wrap with breathable membrane, wrap old style candescent C9 bulbs and cover. Keeps plant from freezing over winter

Worked correctly for a few months

We use this device in our well pump house to keep the pipes from freezing when the temperatures get super low. The first one we had for over twenty years and it worked reliably - same brand and everything. It failed in January 2022 and I replaced it. First cold spell this winter temperatures dropped overnight from 44 to -5 degrees Fahrenheit. I couldn't verify its operation until temperature in the pump house dropped below 35 degrees, which happened in the middle of the night and the pipes froze. I can't believe the same one lasted so many years before and this one didn't even make it through a whole winter's use. Very disappointed.

Works as expected.

Works so far. It's in our 4x4x4 chicken coop with a cozy coop heater plugged into it. Since the coop temperatures have been between 0.5c and 7c or 8c, I assume it's working. Bought the 2 outlet kind in case we have to get a water dish heater.
