Breaks fairly easily
These are great. They are airtight and easy to use. Great for storing tea, spices or other smelly items without stinking up the whole cabinet. The only problem is the lids break fairly easy. A small drop or knocking it over could crack the lid making it useless. Once the lid is cracked, it can no longer be airtight but it can still be used for storage for other things that don't need to be airtight.

Clever, pretty, not suitable for all substances
I have no complaints about the usability of this canister. Its clever design is easy to use once you get the hang of it, though you have to be careful when putting the cap back on that the top and bottom are aligned perfectly. And it's pretty on your shelf. But it's not suitable for storing everything. Most coarse items are fine, but very fine powders get onto the sealing surfaces and the silicone valve and make the cap hard to reinstall. My main complaint is that the bottom half (made of polystyrene according to its recycle symbol) corrodes in the presence of some oily materials. I have one that's been used to store Earl Grey tea, which contains a small amount of bergamot plant oil, for about a year. The oil has worked its way into the polystyrene and the bottom part of the container is now stippled and bumpy. This doesn't affect the seal -- the container still works perfectly -- but it does degrade the elegant appearance of the cylinder. So if you want to store popcorn or sewing supplies this is a good option. For oily foods I suggest you choose a metal or glass container.

Love these for my cigars
I have a few of these now and love them especially for my cigars. Very tight seal and keep cigars perfect for my vacations with a Boveda bag they are not dried out and safe in my luggage.

Good for odor, not so much for moisture
It does create a vacuum with its nifty lid, but it just traps the air inside, I recommend keeping herbs in a bag and maybe a moisture absorbing thing in there with it

Works for things other than weed! Great for onions!
I know pretty much everyone is buying this to store weed, but I bought it to keep the smells in my refrigerator out. My boyfriend is obsessed with onions and so every week I chop up about two to three large onions to have on hand for when he wants to add them to his food. I was storing them in ziplocks, but that didn’t work and then I tried Tupperware, but the plastic absorbed the onion juices and now I can’t get the smell out of my Tupperware. Any way I stored them, my fridge still smelled like onions when you’d open the door. I’ve been storing the chopped onions in this container for about 5 days now and it’s amazing! You can’t smell the onions at all! One container packed holds an entire onion. I’ll probably buy a few more of these. They’re really great and do exactly what they promise!

Better than most but still prefer Mason jar
Not as big as I thought holds about 1 oz of bud in it. Easy to open, not as air tight and smell proof as Mason jar but it is pretty good. I still prefer Mason jars, But this is excellent if your going from a baggie to a jar. I definitely recommend buying one of these if you have marijuana . It keeps your bud fresh and keeps the smell contained. 4 stars just because I thought it could have been larger and a little bit more smell proof .

No bugs, and a breeze to open
I've been searching high and low for something for my smoothie ingredients that was completely airtight, but also effortless to open. These exceeded my expectations in every way. No bugs will get in these jars - the seal is amazing. And these are easier to open than screw-on jars, canning jars, Rubbermaid, ProKeeper, Snapware, and EVAK. The only comparable product I've found is OXO, but the Tightvacs are much more space-efficient. I wasted a lot of money on other storage containers before biting the bullet on these, and I wish I had bought them a long time ago. These are probably my favorite purchase all year.

WORTH THE MONEY!! Keeps food fresh for MUCH MUCH longer
There’s a reason for the good reviews. Works great, and keeps food fresh much longer than plastic bags or Tupperware - we are talking weeks longer, not days or hours! More than pays for itself after a couple of uses because your food stays fresh for so much longer. Buying more now.
