After looking at some of the other well know brands of the same style locks I thought I would give this Trimax a shot. The newer versions of these locks are not made as well as they used to be. The Trimax is by far more superior than the other brands right now. It’s heavy and sturdy and you can definitely tell the difference between it and the other brands. I can only give a 4 star right now because I haven’t had them long enough to tell about the longevity of the locks

Good except in direct rain exposure.

A good lock for the price. Worked OK on storage doors for 6 months, they were outside but under an overhang that protected from direct rainfall. Then I moved one to the back of a trailer and after one good rain it was stuck closed. After spraying with copious amounts of penetrating oil and banging on it for 1/2 hour I finally got it open. Once I was able to rotate the lock some water poured out. They don't drain unless upright. I wouldn't recommend these for use where they get wet a lot, unless it's in an upright position and oiled on a regular basis.

These are very solid, sturdy locks. I've ordered 2 sets so far and plan to order more. Sleek look and easy to operate. Only negative is that when temperatures drop to freezing it is very hard to get them to unlock. I had to rig up an extra long extension cord and run it from the house to the barn in order to use a heat gun on it. As soon as it was warmed it opened right up. I sprayed it with lubricant which also helped.

Warm weather only

If you live anywhere the temps drop below 30degrees I’d try something else. They freeze up and you will not get into them. I tried lock de-icer and it doesn’t work. Literally had to use propane torch to thaw. I’m sure I’m warm climates they are great.

The locks they sell at the storage places are super over priced

Used these on our storage unit while we were between houses. The locks they sell at the storage places are super over priced, as one could imagine. These style locks are good though, because there isn't a lot of the skinny part, which makes using bolt cutters much more difficult than on a "regular" pad lock. We only used them for about a month, but I still have them and if I need to lock up something in the future, I'd have complete faith in these.

Good locks for the price.

Nice locks. Had them on my storage units for a couple months. No rust or any issues. Not as sturdy feeling as the name brands but you get what you pay for. I would recommend these to a friend, but don't expect the same results as you would get from the higher priced locks.

Great deal for 3 keyed-alike round locks.

Excellent price for 3 keyed-alike round locks. Perfect for my enclosed car hauler trailer. Only complaint is that in freezing temperatures water drips in the lock and freezes and it's very difficult to open hence only the 4 STAR rating.

cadenas en acier inoxydable qui rouille ??? pour l'hiver ils vont geler ? J'ai acheter ces cadenas pour les portes de ma remorque, c'a ne semble pas idéal !!!
