Plug and Play

I had a Xantrex Freedom 458 from 2002 that I needed to replace. I ordered this in hopes it would be plug and play and it certainly was. It took less than two hours to switch out the units. Six wires and four grounds and that's it. Service was excellent and it arrived a day early. Not the newest inverter/charger on the market, but the previous one lasted in my motorhome 20 years. They are tried and true and I expect my motorhome will die before this new inverter does. Excellent product!

Xantrex customer service is abhorrible

The unit works wonderfully but customer service at Xantrex was horrible. I E-mailed a question to Xantrex on three different occasions about setting up my unit that only required a yes or no answer and three weeks later I still haven't heard a response from them

Replaced my 20 year old Xantrex

Like for like replacement. My 20 year old one went bang and started smoking… replaced it with this one, super easy to install and all worked great. Been over a year now!

Still going at two years old

I was pleased with the way it works and the price was good PROS Wired with breakers for 2 110 outlets. Pass through for shore power automatic 3 stage automatic charger. Can be connected to a remote. temp sensor for controlled battery charge. Great phone Support from North America Modified sine power works with almost everything CONS Modified Sine wave may not run a few things )would be rare though)

simply the best

I had an earlier version of this unit and I functioned perfectly for 18 years until an amateur electrician tried to connect power from a genset to our motorhome. BOOM. So bought this replacement which was easy to install as all wiring and connections were the same as the dead unit. Unit is working perfectly and you could not go wrong buying and instsalling one of these units. Simply the best.
