Very Ordinary

These scissors were nothing special. I should have asked to return, but I missed the deadline. These scissors are just as hard to use on carpet as regular dollar scissors I have. Although the grip handles are okay, these scissors are not as sharp and strong as they are advertised to be.

Perfect for Mohawk rug pads

We like to use the Mohawk rug pads under area rugs - they are thick felt with a rubber backing, and they often they need to be trimmed down to size. I’ve done that task with other shears and had agonizing hand cramps and bad blisters. These shears went through the rug pad like butter and were offset so you could cut the rug to size right there on the floor. We may never use these shears again for anything else, but they were worth it for this move alone. Saved my wrists.

For some reason mine dont close completely.... but these are CARPET SHEARS

These make your ordinary scissors just want to give up and die. And honestly, they should. That being said mine dont close all the way anymore for some reason. I highly doubt they got bent somehow but it doesnt diminish their cutting power.

Excellent function

After a snafu in delivery, refund, reorder, arrival, and use I can say this cuts rugs like a champ. I will use it for other non rug related uses as I rarely cut rugs but it would be highly functional for cutting other aging fabrics for reuse in household chores.

worked well

I have not used this on carpet, but did use it on a thick felt carpet pad. Other purchasers of the pad had indicated that it was difficult to cut with scissors or a utility knife. These shears breezed through the job. They are sturdy and well-made.

Very Sharp

I used these to trim a thick replacement carpet in my car. They were easy to use and made with an offset in the handle which made it easier to use in a tight space under the dashboard and around the trunk of the car. They still seem as sharp as when I got them.
