Very nice bag, but not for everyone

IMMEDIATE IMPRESSION This is the BEST looking bag I've seen for the price. I chose the dark red, which is a great color and stands out. I ordered it last week and used it this week on a business trip. It looks very impressive and of high quality, so I received tons of compliments immediately. As mentioned by other reviews, the stitching adds a touch of class to the bag and also makes it more unique than if it were a matching color. PROS: The purchase comes with a mini umbrella attached to a hook on the wheeled platform, which is behind the bag. Not sure how easy it is to reach, but that's a nice addition that I wasn't expecting. The front also has a cool clasped pocket that fits magazines, your schedule, passport, itinerary, or other papers that you may need quick access to. The wheels are very solid and the handle functions properly. It was very easy to maneuver from carrying up stairs to wheeling when I needed to travel a longer distance. Unlike more cumbersome bags, I didn't slow my party down as we were walking across different terrains or as I switched from carrying to wheeling and back. The CONS: Though you can fit a larger notebook computer, expect the fit to be a little tight. I was able to fit my powercord, pens, financial calculators, etc., but you may have to figure out how to get everything you need into the bag. After I packed all of my items, I couldn't find a place to put the shoulder strap, so set it aside and left it at the hotel, but this is the downside of leather versus other types of materials that are more expandable. Another small detractor is that the process of unzipping the bag from the platform is not as smooth as it could be. To remove the bag, you'd unzip the two zippers on each side and the one underneath. This was much easier when the bag was completely empty. OVERALL, the Ellyn by McKlein USA definitely seems made for a female business traveler who prefers a high-quality, good-looking leather bag. In fact, the bag looks so nice that I think I'll only use it for business trips and will buy a separate "everyday" case for my office, which has a more casual atmosphere. If you work in a more formal setting, I'm sure your co-workers will take notice.

Simply Beautiful

Beautiful piece of luggage! It is beautifully made. I receive compliments every time I use it. PROS: beautiful leather work, the wheels are not incorporated in the bag like others I've owned-- freeing up a lot of space, the bag pops off wheelbase and handle easily and fits easily in the overhead compartment of even the smallest regional jets, it comes with its own "raincoat", shoulder strap, and laptop sleeve. CONS: the leather is so well constructed that there is no give for items you wish to shove in. There is not a whole lot of space inside once my laptop and bag of cords, chargers and other accessories are put inside-- maybe a few files can be added

I was impressed!!

I was impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this laptop case as well as the mechanics of the rolling cart and its ease of use. I bought this for my granddaughter who is graduating with her Masters Degree in June this year. We gave it to her a little early and she simply loved it!!! She is small in stature and her doctor recommended that she stop carrying her laptop shoulder bag due to back problems. The case is padded for electronics with compartments and ample room for a few files, chargers, cords, etc., as well as a change of clothes for an overnight trip if necessary. I would recommend this product without reservation!

Awesome Bag

This bag is a show-stopper to say the least. As a teacher/lecturer its compact design forced me to consolidate the amount of materials/literature I transport at any given time. I especially love the compartment for my iPad Air, the organizers inside and the fact that it can detach from its carrier; speaking of which, it is so ergonomic that it makes my HEAVY bag feel as light as a feather! I can actually pull the bag with my pinky finger with no problem. I'm enjoying the carrier so much that I haven't had an opportunity to use the bag without it, but I'm looking forward to making a grand entrance with this fashion statement. I will order the bungee attachment for more versatility in using the carrier and the leather responds beautifully to leather wipes- they make the bag look like new! AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

The bag is very stylish and I got a lot of compliments! My laptop did not fit in the sleeve but it did fit in the bag and I used the sleeve to store my cords. A bit of a tight fit but I was able to get the necessities in just fine and was not planning on carrying a lot of extra stuff since I was getting for travel. Fit in overhead of airplane with no issues and was very easy to manuver with the rolling attachment.

Rocking it!

This is a sturdy professional looking bad, however I have challenge putting my 15.5 inch laptop in. It will fit just not in the computer section. I have yet to fit everything I need to for work yet and this will help me streamline what I need vs what I want.
