maybe mine was defective, but the light with the flashing side light option illuminated riding 6 miles to and from my job drained the battery to the point of needing recharged. that was not the brightest setting either. i did not get to see it in pitch black only dusk and it was very bright but with such poor battery life, it is less ideal for commuters. it is also extremely heavy, at least a full pound. it also, that i could see, does not disconnect from the strap meaning each time you charge, the entire thing needs removed from the bars, which is a chore for Light N Motion straps. I was sucked in by the looks and it is very nice looking with a whipping 1200 lumens. but i will keep looking. i might would just pick up another Urban in a higher lumen instead. have used a white Urban 800 he past 4 years with no issues but for the same strapping onto bars and charging ports are difficult.

Great light!

impressive light, good run time, the only negative about this light is the rubber straps are very poor material and break. Buy extra rubber straps- you will need them and they're only $1.50

Light and Motion Lights Work

I have several lights from this manufacturer as well as some other big name brands. This TAZ that was miss labeled and then sold at a discount was a great value. Now I have a backup for those long night gravel rides that last longer than expected.

Battery life not as advertised

I was really disappointed in the battery life. I've made sure to charge it fully and I can't even get two hours on the medium setting. I haven't even tried on the high because I'm afraid it will run out long before my need for a headlight does on some early morning rides. I never expect the battery life to be exactly what they promise but when it seems like it's less than half of what is advertised I feel like it's ok to be disappointed. I've had great experience with their customer service before so I assume they will do their best to help me but at least on the first go-around, I'm bummed.

Freaking awesome light

I have used this on several rides and the combination of two main lights and one dimmer flood that points right in front of the tire work well to illuminate the road in front of me. I’ve done a ride just over an hour at full brightness and the battery still was blinking red so I have no doubt that it will last 90 minutes.

First real bike light...

I'm new to biking for exercise, but I finally decided to get a light for early morning rides. This light is really bright and will light your path very easily. It's also very easy to put on the handle bar. I hope it lasts.

Recommended!!

Pros: Bright enough for mountain biking at night. Battery lasts the advertise two hours on high. Very good quality level. Superior to the cheaper Chinese lights cons: It does get pretty hot on high.

Best Light For Evening/Night Cycling

Quality built. Tremendous light-we use for night riding or even walking the neighborhood. Pricey, but for our needs it was worth it.
